Meet our PGA Pros
STEVEN LOADER – DIRECTOR OF GOLF, CERTIFIED PGA PROFESSIONAL
Steve has been a Rich River Golf Club member since he was 13. Harnessing his passion for the game of golf, he went on to Captain Rich River to its first Division One Pennant victory in 1996, before starting his PGA qualification in 2002 and graduating with dux academic honours in 2005.
Steve was one of the first nationally accredited All-Abilities Golf Coaches and has worked closely with Peter Hyden who has represented Australia in all-abilities tournaments both nationally and internationally.
In 2022 Steve moved into the Director of Golf role and heads up our team of PGA Professionals that oversee the Pro Shop operation, focussing on increasing participation in golf, especially women and juniors, member and visitor engagement, golf tournament & event attraction, and coaching.
CHRISTIAN RAINEY – HEAD TEACHING PROFESSIONAL
Christian is available for coaching during these times:
Monday 9am – 5pm | Wednesday 8am – 5pm | Thursday 12pm – 5pm | Friday 9am – 6pm | Sunday 8am – 4pm
Christian has been a PGA member for over 20 years during which he has worked extensively in the golf industry. Before joining Rich River with roles in Tasmania as Teaching Professional at Kingston Beach Golf Club, and Host PGA Professional at Ratho Farm Golf Links.
He grew up playing golf from the age of 7 on the family farm near Hobart before being recruited in 2001 to play on the golf team at Paris Junior College in Texas, and completing his PGA qualification at Tasmania and Kingston Beach Golf Clubs. Christian has caddied at high-end clubs in the USA, on the PGA TOUR of Australasia, and for emerging players he coaches. Christian drove the creation of the Mat Goggin Junior Golf Foundation, had over a decade teaching golf in schools, and more recently in the high-performance space as Golf Australia National Coach – Tasmania.
Christian’s coaching philosophies focus on fundamentals and encouraging natural movement for any level of golfer, as well as a passion for helping new golfers and juniors enjoy the game.

JAYDEN DIXON – ASSISTANT PROFESSIONAL, CERTIFIED PGA
Jayden is available for coaching during these times:
Wednesday 9am – 2pm | Friday 12noon – 3pm | Saturday 10am – 12noon
Jayden started playing golf at the age of 18 at Rich River, and his love for the game quickly grew seeing his handicap drop below 0 after only playing for 5 years. He moved to Bendigo to start his PGA Membership Pathway Program at Neangar Park Golf Club before returning to Rich River in 2023 to qualify as a Certified PGA Professional.
Jayden continues to work at his own game participating in local Pro-Am events, and is seen practicing and playing at Rich River regularly. His friendly nature and willingness to learn has held him in good stead as an emerging PGA Professional.
Jayden is an all-rounder who handles our Club Junior Program and Chip & Sip Clinics, whilst being in charge of repairs and spending time perfecting his customer service in the Pro Shop. Jayden is also available for one-on-one lessons, distance gapping sessions and club fitting.
