Meet The ProsRichard Caiolfa AAA PGA Member
A member at the Rich River Golf Club Resort since he was a junior, Richard completed his traineeship in 1993, under the then Head Professional Alan Eacott. Winner of the 2014 Victorian Golf Pro of the Year, Richard is a consummate promoter of the game of golf, and enjoys creating a welcoming environment for all levels of golfing ability. Richard delights in introducing young golfers to the game and particularly enjoys the honour and responsibility of instructing our youngest juniors in his clinics. His well-defined curriculum for juniors of instruction, etiquette, and rules give his students a firm foundation in how to play and enjoy the game of golf. Richard was awarded the Victorian Club Professional in 2014, winning the prestigious award gave Richard the opportunity to represent Victoria for the National Club Professional award, of which he was awarded the equal winner.
Steven Loader AAA PGA Member
Steven has been a member of Rich River since he was 13 going on to Captain the club to its first Division 1 pennant Victory in 1996 before starting his PGA apprenticeship in 2002 completing his traineeship in 2005 graduating with Dux academic honours in Victoria in his second year of his apprenticeship. His teaching philosophy's cater around understanding each students learning style. Taking pride in giving students the tools via drills and practice routines to allow them to practice with a purpose and then be able to trust their technique on the golf course. His teaching principles are based on correct plane leads to the most consistent results on the golf course.
Ben Patten AAA PGA Member
Completing his traineeship in 2011, Ben has been actively coaching for the past 6 years. Ben has a passion for developing junior golfers and raw beginners, focussing on the expansion of golfers' physical and psychological capabilities to improve every aspect of their game. Ben believes that having correctly fitted equipment is paramount in order for golfers to achieve their full potential; therefore the past three years Ben has focused much of his time developing his skills as a club fitter to ensure his clients are fitted with the correct equipment. While coaching is Ben's passion, he also enjoys competing in the Australian Pro-Am circuit.
