Weekly Golf Report

Wednesday October 18th
On Wednesday 47 pairs participated in a 4BBB Stableford qualifying round for The Champions of the Murray Final. Diane Watson and Barbara Duke were the delighted victors with 49 points followed by the equally jubilant Di Johnson and Debbie Michael (48 points). Both pairs will represent Rich River Golf Club in the final at the Yarrawonga/ Mulwala Golf Resort in May 2018 where they will challenge other Golf on the Murray clubs to be crowned Champions of the Murray. Lorraine De Ravin and Sandy Harvey were third with a creditable 46 points.

The ball rundown went to 43 points.

Nearest the Pins: A grade Joy Kelly, B grade Marg Mould, C grade Allie Serafini; Second Shot on the 13th: Lorraine De Ravin; The Super Pin was won by Sue Edwards on the 8th.

Saturday October 14th
Shirley Phelan (71 net) had the score of the day on Saturday when 29 women played a stroke round on the East course. Fran Galvin (74) was second and Bev Clarke third on a countback.

The ball rundown went to 77 net.

Nearest the Pins: Bev Clarke’s accuracy continued on the 16th to win A grade; B grade: Chris Kelly; Super Pin: Fran Galvin continued her form to take out the Super Pin the 8th East.

Monday October 16th
A nine hole Stableford event was played on Monday. 36 players competed in two divisions on the West front nine.
Division 1: 1st Marie Collins who is rounding off a very successful year on the golf course (21 points), 2nd Helen Makin (19)
Division 2: 1st Megan Murdoch (19), 2nd Jennifer French (18)

The ball rundown went to 16.

Nearest the Pin: Christine Ross on the 8th West; Second Shot: Judy Cook also on the 8th hole.
