The Club continues its emphasis on developing junior tennis both from a competition and coaching point of view. Each Saturday morning a junior competition is held to develop the children's playing skills. The competition is open to all junior players of any age or standard. Saturday mornings also incorporates coaching for beginners. Group lessons are the format with emphasis on developing their raw skills and talent!
And for those a 'little' older and more experienced, night competition is run both Monday and Wednesday evenings. Monday night is a mixed team competition consisting of 3 women and 3 men. The competition is run each school term and commences at 7pm. Wednesday night competition is a men's teams format, consisting of 4 men. This competition is run in terms 2 & 3 through the winter and commences at 7.30pm. Form your own teams or enter your own name to be placed in a team. It's good fun and a great way to beat off the winter chills!
Ladies social tennis is played every Wednesday morning from 9:30am. Just come along and put your name down.
Tennis coaching lessons are available all year round with qualified coach Andrew Crossman from Crossies Tennis Coaching. Children from around the age of 5 can start to learn tennis with Andrew by participating in group tennis coaching run four nights a week during the school terms. Private lessons are also available by arrangement.
