D'Alberto Holden Scramble teams do well in the regional finals!

On Tuesday 28th October the two teams that qualified for the regional final played at the Heritage Golf Club.  The first team, consisting of Peter McKechnie, Matt Smith and Greg Kent were joined by Rich River Golf Club's professional Richard Caiolfa. The other team of Greg Norwood, Joel Norwood and Ron Tonkin were joined by our other professional, Steven Loader.

The revised format, devised to give more teams a chance of winning, was adopted as a team of four.  The Heritage Golf Club is regarded as one of the most exclusive courses in Australia and  the golf course lived up to it's reputation of being a fantastic challenge.

The two teams began on the 15th hole at 8am. Steven's team began with 3 birdies in the first 3 holes, although a few missed opportunities on the next couple of holes began to frustrate them as the round went on.  Richard's team were the opposite. They began with 6 pars on the first 6 holes, then began to combine better scores to finish quite strong.

Both teams were very fortunate to play such a prestigious course. Afterwards they enjoyed the Heritage Golf Clubhouse over lunch and few drinks.
