About Tennis

The complex at Rich River Golf Club Resort boasts nine floodlit synthetic grass tennis courts. Racquet and ball hire as well as professional tennis coaching is available.

The Club has a strong following and has competition for juniors and those a “little older”. Everyone is encouraged to join a team and compete in our weekly competitions. It’s good fun and a great way to keep fit in a friendly environment!

For those visiting our club for more recreational reasons, the courts are available
for use and tennis equipment can be obtained from the Club.

The Club continues its emphasis on developing junior tennis both from a competition and coaching point of view.

Tennis coaching lessons are available all year around with qualified coach Andrew Crossman from Crossies Tennis Coaching. Children from around the age of 5 can start to learn tennis with Andrew by participating in group tennis coaching run three nights a week during the school term. Private lessons are also available by arrangement.

During the winter months, Rich River has their VCTA junior squad. The children train once a month and compete against other squads in the region. The squad program is a great competition that caters for all children of all ages and standard.

For those a 'little' older and more experienced, night competition is run both on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Monday night is a mixed team competition consisting of 3 women and 3 men. The competition is run each school term and commences at 7pm. Wednesday night competition is a men's team format, consisting of 4 men. This competition is run in terms 2 & 3 through the winter and commences at 7pm. Form your own teams or enter your name to be placed in a team. It's good fun and a great way to beat off the winter chills!

Ladies social tennis is played every Wednesday morning of the school term from 9:15am. Just come along, put your name down and join in the doubles competition.

Rich River Tennis Club also participates in the Campaspe Tennis Association on Saturday afternoons during summer. The competition runs October-March, playing home & away matches against various clubs in the region. Team consist of 4 men and 4 women in three sections.
